THE PRECISION OF THE WHIPLASH INDEX ADJUSTER.

The whiplash precision index adjuster allows the rate of a Lange watch to be regulated with great precision. The device is mounted on the balance cock of the movement and consists of an index pointer,
a setscrew, and a beautifully polished steel spring whose shape resembles that of a swan’s neck. The steel spring presses the index pointer laterally against the tiny setscrew which allows the escape-ment’s gain or loss to be corrected in very small increments.
