THE CENTENNIAL TOURBILLON.

Emil Lange presented this tourbillon at the 1900 World Exposition in Paris to which he was invited as a member of the jury. Ninety years later, the watch was acquired at auction for a price of DM 1.5 million.
  • German silver movement with fusee-and-chain transmission, screwed gold chatons, engraved tourbillon carriage cock, compensation balance with gold screws, escape wheel in gold
  • Enamel dial with UP-and-DOWN indication and small seconds. Signature: A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte b. Dresden
  • Yellow gold case with platinum plating, dust cover with "1900" symbol
  • Dial cover with miniature enamel painting: Minerva, the laurel-wreathed Roman goddess of handicrafts, holding an olive branch next to a globe, with a view of the city of Dresden in the background
