The LANGE 1 TIME ZONE is a mechanical timepiece of global stature. It not only tells home time but also indicates the local time for any place on the face of the earth. On the solid-silver dial of this masterpiece, the gold hands of the main dial permanently display home time. The wheel train of the main dial is coupled with the patented, easily legible outsize date: it shows the date at home. The smaller dial with Arabic numerals can be set to display the local time in any of the world's 24 time zones.

IN STEP WITH THE METROPOLITAN CENTRES.

The gold arrow applied at 5 o'clock points at a city on the rotating city ring. It represents the zone whose time is currently being displayed on the smaller dial. The city ring can be advanced zone by zone by pressing the time-zone push piece at 8 o'clock. Concurrently, the hour hand of the zone-time dial advances as well so that at the end of the setting process, the small dial indicates the local time in the selected time zone. As a most useful feature, both dials of the LANGE 1 TIME ZONE have separate day/night indications. And since time often flies on journeys, the watch also has an UP/DOWN power-reserve display that reminds the owner when it needs to be wound.
