The new calibre L093.1 movement has a diameter of 28.0 millimetres and is only just 2.9 millimetres high. The thickness of each individual movement part was reduced to the absolutely necessary minimum. As customary with new developments at Lange, the movement of the SAXONIA THIN had to endure – and pass – many strict stress tests. A. Lange & Söhne created a movement that easily stands comparison with the manufactory's other models with regard to precision and reliability. Despite its exceptionally slender silhouette, it delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.

BESPOKE DECORATIONS – FOR INIMITABLE CHARISMA.

Without exception, all parts of the movement are lavishly decorated by hand, even those that normally remain concealed. No fewer than five decoration techniques are involved. The three-quarter plate is finished with Glashütte ribbing. Small levers and jumpers are decorated with straight graining, wheels with circular graining. The undersides of the plates feature a perlage pattern, and the spring barrel is finished with solarisation on both sides. Additionally, all the edges in the movement are chamfered and polished.


IN THE SERVICE OF PRECISION TIMEKEEPING – THE MOVEMENT ADJUSTED IN FIVE POSITIONS.

The manually wound movement has a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. The precious, shock-resistant screw balance beats at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour and is adjusted in five positions. The whiplash precision index adjuster is mounted on the balance cock; its freehand engraving makes each movement unique.
